Upcoming trip...TOO EXCITED!

OK, so me and some close friends are planning on going to the 5th annual Knit and Crochet Festival in Pa. on Feb. 14th. I am SO EXCITED! We are going to have an absolute blast! These gals are my besties!! We are staying over night in a hotel and attending both days. Our DH's will have to survive without us for the weekend. I am sure mine is glad as long as he doesnt have to attend the event with me! LOL

Knitting Away

So I found a pattern for dishcloths I love!!! Thanks to my friend Jan. I am feverishly making dishcloths for Christmas gifts and this pattern is super easy!! And Hobby Lobby has this great new cotton yarn, appropriately named, I love this cotton, its marvelous!! I made a coffee cup cloth with a pretty blue for a friend. It is a must try if you love to do dishcloths!

Tired me

Well, the dh is out o town on business...and i must say I miss him like crazy! This leaves me to do EVERYTHING here at home. I am so sleepy, but want to finish my dishcloth, which I am way be hind on. LOL Well, gotta go fold laundry. YUK!

Sunny Tuesday

Well it has FINALLY stopped raining! YEAH! The sun is shining and wouldnt you know it, I have to work until 8:30p :o( Today is the first day of the dish cloth KAL, I am SO excited! I will have something to do on my lunch break.

So, it is STILL RAINING. *UGH* But on a lighter note, I finished putting a patch on my knitting bag. The patch was a gift from a cherished customer of mine. She and I are in a group called Chicls with sticks and I am the dept mgr. of the fabric/yarn at our local Hobby Lobby...(we met at Hobby Lobby and I brought her to our group) Anyhoo one of the other girls in the group helped her learn to knit, and she made a patch and put it on a bag for her. Well, when I saw the bag, I just HAD to HAVE a patch! As I already have a bag that I drag all my cherished knitt goodies everywhere with me. So, The patch is on, with a little ric a rack for style...man it is ADORABLE! If I do say so myself. Gotta have something to occupy my time in all this rainy weather. LOL Still knitting a scarf and a beanie...tomorrow I will start the KAL with the Knitting Knook....gotta knit! Pix to following having trouble gettin them to upload.

Rain

Ok, so is it ever going to stop raining?!! Our grass is going to be as tall as I am before we get it mowed...and it is so humid. Dh wants to go fishing, which is very hard in a thunderstorm. LOL

K.I. was great!

Well we had a great time on our trip. The girls were so excited. The boys did not make this trip with us. Tony my oldest is preparing to go to boot camp for the U.S. Marines. Jake was at his grandmas. I must admit I felt a little old after running around the park all day. LOL

Thursdays junk

Well, we are amping up for a nice w/e getaway from home. We are going to a semi-local amusement park courtesy of dh's work. They have the company picnic there every year and pay for admission and lunch. We always get a hotel and make a stop at the greatest flea market on the way home Sunday. Our five yr old is driving me crazy with ALL the TALK!!! I told her tonight she would go to be early if she said ONE MORE WORD! Will post some fun photos when we return.
